Didn't feel like coming up with a creative title. XP Sadly this costume is FAR from being finished (it's at about 80% right now), but I unfortunately ran out of time for this one (everything worn to the con was made in only 3-4 days!). I got to be wearable the night before I wore it at Acen 2010 thanks to the help of my amazzzzing friends<3
Costume info: The wig is made entirely of yarn to mimic the look of dreads. The yarn was attached to a wig cap that was actually an old hat of mine. I didn't have time to fully fix up the hairline. I chose to go with a lavender body paint to match Shiva's FFX figurine and more of her in-game renders. Hiyoko-chan and I spent probably 3 hrs painting my torso/arms/face (my lower half was in lavender tights). Then I applied the ice crystals and rest of the makeup myself. I regrettably need brighter blue contacts T_T these ones look too natural! Lol.
Maybe a little tip for the ice crystals on the face.. Have you ever tried using rubber, the kind you buy in bottles? You can apply it directly to your skin with a brush or make the crystals apart in rubber (use a sheet of plastic then), then paint one thin layer on your own skin (you don't even see that one layer normally!) and then press the earlier made crystals to the spot with the latex and then ta-dah it fits! XD When you don't sweat too much it stays on for several hours ^^ Just thought I'd tell you ^^
Thanks! It took me a few tries to get the eyeshadow just right...surprisingly the bodypaint was pretty easy to apply this time around vs. when I applied it for Midna XD
